I have been blessed to know two wonderful ladies Mary & Leah.
We met one sunny day in May (hahaha, what am I channeling Dr. Suess?) when they were having a yard sale. Much like them, I can’t resist a yard sale. I inquired about some old camera’s they were selling and we all got to talking. We made plans for afternoon tea to talk about they’re ideas for Fabulous On A Budget. Before I knew it, I had made two of the greatest friends a girl could ever want. Ever since we have been making videos, taking pictures, throwing parties, going on road trips, surfing, and of course thrift shopping.
And now after months of getting Tipsy on Tuesday…

Guess what y’all? If you can handle the drive and a few fast moving lines, The Getty has free music on Saturday nights. Parking after 5pm is free, and well, the museum is always free! You can even pack a picnic and hang out in the grass by the garden. It’s a fabulous way to spend Saturday not money.
Even if you never actually step inside the building, it’s worth it.

There is currently a few good exhibits going on at the Getty: Luminous Paper: British Watercolors and Drawings
I stared at this one for a while. They even had magnifying glasses all over the place so you could see even more detail.
They also have a good photo exhibit: A Revolutionary Project: Cuba from Walker Evans to Now. There were lots of pictures of Fidel Castro and one of them was from a strange angle and it looked a lot like my dad. It gave me the heebeegeebees.
My next stop: The Annenberg Space For Photography
